Reinstalling Exchange

All If I reinstalled Exchange 5.5 will it delete my current Information Stores?

Yes. You have to do a offline backup of the priv.edb,pub.edb and dir.edb first.

I think you can get what you need by referring to my FAQ on replacing old hardware with new. Just ignore the parts about building the new server and pay attention to the issue of where the data goes. Before starting, create new temporary folders in the existing mdbdata, dsadata, and mtadata folders on all drives and move the existing data into them. Once you've re-installed Exchange, you should be able to use my document to bring your existing data back.
