I was searching for a string within the registry, when on the third (or so) "find next" I received a BSOD!

Any ideas? Regards

regedt32.exe & regedit.exe

Which were you using when this happened??

Thanks for asking, I didn't make it very clear.

I've experienced the problem using both the registry tools. Regards

What is the exact error message you are getting? Also have a look in the Event Viewer under both Applications and System's folder and see if there is anything there.

In windows xp there is no regedit32. the command works, but it calls the regedit.exe
