Hello,
The situation is like this:
A LPAR on a 16CPU Regatta does not boot.
Here is the output from the console:
Elapsed time since release of system processors: 689862 mins 2 secs
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to AIX.
boot image timestamp: 17:10 12/20
The current time and date: 18:44:58 06/03/2008
number of processors: 1 size of memory: 4096MB
boot device: /pci@3fffde0a000/pci@b,4/scsi@1/sd@9,0
kernel size: 11937098; 32 bit kernel
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The HMC shows "0552 IPLVARYON ERROR", for which google says "Super block corrupted and corrupted customized ODM database"
and a refference is made to the Admin Guide, which I do not have nor can find in Internet.
The system will not boot from HDD, but will enter OpenBoot and SMS menus, which however did not contain any useful tools. Booting from CD did not make it easier, since it was not possible to import the VG.
Reinstalling is an options, since the LPAR was not actively used, but finding the reason for the failure is even more important.
