I have a user that was setup to use Offline folders due to slow dial-up connection. She is now on DSL and is connecting to the Exchange server. The problem is the folder status does not update until she clicks on another folder. So when she sends an email it is listed in the Outbox even after she has received a reply from the message. Is there some kind of setting that I am missing.

What kind of installation of Outlook are we talking about? Corporate Worgroup or Internet Mail Only? joegz

This is corporate workgroup - no Internet email involved.

What appears to be happening is that the folder does not synchronize until the client clicks on another folder. (I wonder if the synchronization message appears on the lower right corner of the screen when she clicks on another folder?)

I guess the first question is does she still need to use offline folders (assuming she still is using the offline folder)? If yes, what synchronization options have been setup under OPTIONS - MAIL SERVICES to handle offline access? joegz

no action occurs (as far as synching) when she clicks on another folder.
I would like to continue to have offline access in case of connection failure. She is prompted to connect or work offline at Outlook startup. She is choosing to Connect. Enable Offline access is checked. We have chosen to sync offline folders when exiting. No other boxes are checked in that section. Thanks for you help!!!

OK I have one more question but I just want to be sure. Is Outlook set up to deliver mail to the clients Mailbox on the Exchange server or to a personal folder?
