Hi everybody,

I would like to know if someone knows the possibility to force Reflection 7 to work with Windows 2000.
I know that this software is not supported neither by WRQ nor by Microsoft, but I notice something :

After I have installed Windows 2000 Pro then Reflection 7, there is a problem which prevents Telnet Connection to be launched (a VBA error : vba not installed, re-run setup). But if I upgrade a NT Workstation (from which Reflection 7 is already installed) to windows 2000, miraculously it works.

Have Someone got an idea about that ?

Thanks in advance for your help

I have been running reflections 7 on my 2000 pro workstation for quite some time without problems. Have you tried installing office on the machine with problems before you install reflections? Also, if the user does not have admin access to the local client you will get reg errors. I believe I had to grant write permissions to the reflections key and to the keys in classes that contained the file extensions for Reflections. Good luck.

I have installed Office without problems. I notice that it works with a admin account, not with a user account. Have you an idea about the classes that contained the file extensions for Reflections that I have to give full rights for users ? Because I think like you there must be problems rights in registry.

Tnanks

I ended up giving write permissions to the key HKey_Local_Machine/software/classes to get it to work for users. If I remember correctly there were 15 or 20 subkeys that needed to change so I just did the whole key to save effort. I think I also gave write permissions to the Reflections key in software.

Thanks I will try. See you later for the result.

I gave write permissions for users and always the same, vba error. I don't know anymore what to do.
