referenced memory at 0x74706b41/ could not be read

Using windowsXP home I recieve a "Popunder.exe-Application Error" box
Inside it reads "The instruction at "0x74706b41" referenced memory at "0x74706b42". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program "
This shows up about every five minutes despite my having clicked OK or the close box. Any help out there? Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much linney. I read the article and downloaded and installed both programs. Spybot found 94 problems, fixed most of them and will fix the rest on restart. The popunder error message and all the popup ads have ceased and desisted. So much appreciate the help.
