Can someone recommend to me a good reference book(s) for Access 2000. I have the basics down but need to move to the next level. I have a summer project to create a membership database that would have many names to one address along with many other questions that need to be captured during our registration period. Example I'm presently using a dateformfor address with a subform family members but I can't seem to create a button to search on the subform only on the main form. I have a ton of other questions that I need answered and so to my original question about the best book I can purchase without getting to deeply into programming as I would be way out of my league there.

I know you specifically said Access 2K, but a great book is "Access 97 Developer's Handbook" by Litwin, Getz and Gilbert (SYBEX). I am not sure if they have updated it for 2K. Terry M. Hoey

Yes, they have: Access 2000 Developer's Handbook is much enlarged, and comes in 2 volumes. Volume 1 (1600 pages!) is an extensive rewrite of the A97 version, and covers the desktop edition, while Volume 2 covers enterprise features such as multiuser and client/server applications, SQL Server and MSDE use, and web publishing. I only have vol. 1, and so far, I haven't felt like I'm missing anything I really need. List price is US$59.95, worth every penny. Rick Sprague

Access 2000 answers is very good byh jones & jones for intermediate users... its my bible for the moment.. its easy to use and its too huge so you dont have to wade through it with your wellys on.. have a look at it at amazon.com if you want a better review thats where I bought mine.

I personally own one of "Access 2000 Complete Reference" book, which has been a great help... If you are already familiarize with the basics, go get this copy.
