How, if it is possible, does one set up a foreign key in one table to point to a primary key in a table that's in another database (same server)?

Thanks.

Nope.

(sometimes ugly) alternative: triggers.

------
[small]<this is sig>
select stuff(stuff(replicate('<P> <B> ', 14), 109, 0, '<.'), 112, 0, '/')
</this is sig>[/small]

Well, thanks for the reply, anyway! I'm trying to figure out why that would not be allowed. If a database is a model of a miniworld, and a miniworld can relate to other miniworlds, you'd think that something like this should be allowed... Another way of looking at it is that miniworlds are just logical groupings. Maybe in 2005? 2010?... Anyway, thanks, again! :)
