I am currently running Exchange 2000, and we have had a second T1 installed. I have configured a second Cisco PIX device NAT'ing to the internal IP of my Exchange server, (has 2 NIC's, 2nd T1 to 2nd internal ip.), and have port 25 open as well.
Here's the question,
Can I just add the second internal ip address in my SMTP Virtual Server?
Or do I create a second SMTP Virtual Server?
I need to have the second connection functional (as far as being able to telnet to port 25 to test the SMTP connection) prior to switching my MX record to the new, 2nd T1, then eventually, will remove the 1st T1 connnection.
Hope this made sense, cause I know what I'm talking about, but that don't mean I said it...
Thanks.
Chris
