has anyone successfully implemented redundant modular messaging servers so if one trunk or server goes down, the other will take over???

I have two (redundant) modular messaging application servers (MAS). These use a common (single) modular messaging storage server (MSS).

Should the MSS be down, the MAS's are capable of storing new messages.

ok.

how do you have your coverage paths set up in the case of a trunk outage and/or server outage?

You VM hunt goup will point to a trunk group and that trunk group will have 2 DS1 boards each one with it's own signaling group and each connected to its own MAS. If you loose a DS1 or MAS the trunk group stays up with half capacity.
