Redistributing unallocated space in partition magic

I have 1.5 gigs of unallocated space according to partition magic and I need to redistribute it to my C drive, but whenever I do this, the partition magic program in dos gets to about 3% complete and then my computer freezes, every time. Somebody please help!

I don't know which version of partition magic your using but you should be able to skip the bad sector check. It is usually under the General drop down menu. Give that a try. Also do a search on your C drive for any *.chk files. If it sees any of those it will puke too.

I tried both of those things and it still froze. It gets to overall progress - 2% and resizing partition - 3%, and then it freezes.
