RedirectMatch 1

I need a RedirectMatch rule that will handle the following situation:

http://www.xxx.com/yyy/aaa.htm

should be permanently redirected to

http://www.xxx.com/zzz/aaa.htm

I thought it would be
RedirectMatch permanent ^/yyy/

http://www.xxx.com/zzz/

However, that results in

http://www.xxx.com/zzz/

I have tried various other combinations but I still can't get it to work.

That works. I have just never been able to get the hang of writing regular expressions. Thanks for your help.
