Hope someone can shed some light on this for me. I use Netscape 7. Once in a while I'll get the following alert message when trying to access a web site:

Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page.

This doesn't happen on every page nor does it seem to be the same pages each time. In fact, it happened about a month ago when I was trying to access Tek-Tips! Is this a server-side problem or a setting I should be aware of in Netscape?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I think that was probably a problem with the server at Tek Tips, not NS 7. The reason I say that is because I also received many errors (slightly different) at that time, and Tek Tips was doing a bunch of maintenance then.

Thanks RISTMO! I was pretty sure it was a server problem but... you know how it is.

Thanks again.

I get this "Redirection limit for this URL exceeded..." when using Netscape 7.0. Using Internet Explorer 5.5 as I browser this error does not occur. Is it possible that Tek-Tips.com is not compatible with Netscape and I am forced to use IE?

Actually the bug has been discussed already. You need to delete cookies Tek-tips has created and it works fine. I prefer using Phoenix (another Gecko Based Browser, GBB) and I get the problem once in a while. Gary Haran

Thanks Xutopia. I will delete the cookie and hope this cures the problem.
I couldn't find anything where this problem was previously discussed. Did a search for cookie on all forums and came up dry. Could you direct me to the post this was discussed?
Thanks
