I want to redirect my users that enter the site. I.e instead of typing client.company.com/products/search.jsp they just type client.company.com and being redirected to the search.jsp page. However i want the address field in Internet Explorer to still be client.company.com.

Anyone have any ideas?

A framed page would also do the trick.
