I have an incoming line which is set to be picked up by VM after 4 rings.

This line also has a second number with a distractive ring pattern on incoming calls (short-long-short)

Is there any way to make a revision to the programming which redirects the calls to an alternate DN (other than the VM DN after 3 rings) once it recognizes the distinctive ring pattern?

It's not going to a fax or modem or anything - i just don't want VM to pick up that line for the calls to the distinctive ring number.

thoughts?

thanks

Shawn

Not within the BCM 50, could get a distinctive ring detector and bring it in as another trunk.

The different ring pattern is just programmed to the trunk. It can be changed to match the other ring tone unless this is set for a reason? You could always bump the ring no answer higher then 3 as well.
