Hi all.

I need to program a feature into a user phone, but don´t know what is the function that I need to set up, the function that is needed is, if a user dial an external number but this number is busy, he needs a function that the system automatically redial that number after a period of time, the system is a Definity Prologix G3csiV9. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thx.

David.

David:
First step is to check the feature access codes to see if the Last Number Dialed Access Code: field has a code. If not assign one I used *9. Then the user can dial *9 after the busy signal. To make it even easier assign a button on the set as last-numb. Then you are all set

Hope this helps
Ed

Hi Ed.

I tried the access-code, but didn´t work, in our case we dial *50 after the busy signal, and nothing happens, I don´t know if I´m missing some steps, and with the buttom when I tried to assign it, the system send this message "LND buttom not allowed on this set type:use fixed redial buttom", but this buttom is a traditional redial, what the user wants is to intoduce a code o press a buttom to make the system redial after a later time automatically. I appreciate your tip.

Thx.

David.

David: Once you get the busy signal hang up. Pickup the hand set with dialtone in your ear press the *50 and the last number that was dialed will be outpulsed again even if it wasn't busy. The feature is Last number dialed not busy redial. I know of no feature the will do a busy redial. As for the sets, some models have a hard redial button. And again it's for last number dialed. And the FAC code is needed on the Feature access codes page for it to work

Sorry for the confusion
Ed

Ed it sounds like he is after an auto callback button but, I am pretty sure it will only work for inside calls. Last number redial may be his only option for outside calls.

Mikey

You are right Mikey, it only works for inside calls not for outside calls, I was consulting to providers if there is an option like this for outside calls, unfortunately there´s not, I think it´s a good recomendation to Avaya to implement this option, don´t you think? Anyway thanks for your help Ed and Mikey.
