I installed an IP Office 500 8.0.44. I have a total of 7 analog trunks. I built ARS table with 7 x's for locale calls and 10 x's for long distance. Built my short code 9 - N. We can dial out by using 9 no problem. But when using redial key on the 1400 series phones the display shows " WAITING FOR LINE". Problem duplicates with the contact list. When choosing your contact the displays shows 'WAITING FOR LINE" and does nothing. Second, i built hunt group 201 and added my users. Programmed a paging group key on several set's with action field as 201. When using the feature i should hear a beep and start talking through the phones. This does not happen it start's ringing all the phone sets. Any info would help on why it would be doing this, or if i am missing a step, or i just have a bad SD card?

Nothing to do with he SD card, it's just programmed incorrectly, paging group would need to be collective, also do a system trace and that will snow what the other issue is :)

Sounds like 9 isn't defined in the prefix field on the analogue lines for the redial issue.

Dial Paging is the button you'll need, with action data 201, hope that's what you meant by "Group Paging" button?

is there still a ? shortcode in the ARS or Sys short codes, ie the default ? SC, haven't played round with the Prefix as above, except that the prefix appends onto the front of incoming CLID, say in NZ where we are National toll example 09 444-4444 , but if they were to dial us on Avaya ATM trunk it shows as 9 444-4444. bit of a pain dialing back to that number, so the prefix field we add a 0, and the redial etc then makes the call to 0 9 444-4444 which is valid number as dialed manually.

clear as mud?

not the same on ISDN/ SIP though, we get the whole package/number there! :)

Cheers,

Chris

Alright you guys, I got it working. Thanks for your info!!!!!

It looks like redial and the contact list was getting out on the default ARS table 50. So i deleted my short code 9 and my ars table, used the system default 9N and used the default ars table and values but changed the line group value to 2 which is how i set up my trunks for outgoing Id, and that worked. For the Group Paging i deleted what i created and used the default 200 main and re named it to Paging and now that works. I created one at first, set that up as collective with all my user's in place. Set the group paging key with the action value 201 which is the group number i created, and it did not work.
I don't know why but i appreciate all the info you guys have given to me!!!!!!!!

was it a "group" paging key? sure it's meant to be dial paging then action data is group or extension you want.

Yes, you are correct......................
