Hi All,

I've just set-up 2 Redhat Linux 9 servers. There is a requirement to allow FTP access to some internal users. My problem is that although the FTP server appears to be started (I can browse to the /pub directory), I cannot write any files to the server.

I've had a look at the previous posts regarding allowing internal user access etc but nothing seems to work for me. Can anyone help?

TIA,
Rab.

r u login with anonymous user? check out for the permissions of the /pub directory...

Edit vsftpd.conf and check your permissions.
I wouldn't allow anon access..you can have
user accounts with quota and be much safer.
You could have a group writable/readable
directory for all ftpgroup members.

The initial settings are for anonymous user
only(if I remember correctly).
