Red Hat for use as email server. 1

Working for our IS department and setting up an NT Network for approximatly 125 users, I have been asked to find a low cost but compatible email system for the new Network. Some of the documentation I have read has alluded to Red Hat being able to work as a email server by itself and with no extra software. I am curious and have been looking for additional information on this subject, but haven't been able to find any specifics. Can anyone help me out with the info. Thanks.<br>

We use redhat 6.0 with the default sendmail package as our mail server. It works pretty much flawlessly. Our users interface with everything from Eudora to Outlook express to Outlook 97 and 2000, pine, mail and netscape communicator. You won't even have to reboot it several times a day. Do you currently have any UNIX boxes on your network?<br>

We run Qmail with RedHat 5.2 as well as slackware. It is a more robust package than Sendmail (IMHO) and is more secure. The QMailadmin web interface makes virtual mailboxes a breeze as well. If you'd like to demo it or know more about our setup, email me at craig@louisville.net
