Recovering SMS Work Station Identity

Does anyone have a process / procedure for recovering the GUID so that a re-built machine re-assumes it's former identity and a duplicate SMS record is not created?

I run the duplicate GUID ID cleaner. Any machine that is rebuilt, will automaticly update in SMS. The cleaner will make sure no machines have the same GUID.

I just rebuild the machine and SMS takes care of itself.
