I bought backoffice 4.5 off a comp store and loaded the nt4 server on an old computor now I want to load some other stuff off the disk but my wife threw away the box with the serial number on it. All the programs I can find on the web will not run on nt4. I know it is in the registery some where and also on the disks but can not find it.

If your NT uses a serial number in the follwing format :-

xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx

where the xxx's are numbers then you can just right click my computer and choose properties, it should be on the general tab.

If its the older xxx.xxxxxxx then you should be able to just use all 1's

The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability.

No. the number you stick in is xxx-xxxxxxx and is 10 digits.
the number in propertys is a 20 digit nummber.xxxxx-xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxx. the serial number is probly in there somewhere but not sure how to decode it.

if you read the second part of my post you will see that I also address the 3+7 serial.
