Hi,

i'm recovering a networker server from scratch ( full hdd failure, they forgot to mirror ). After identifying and recovering bootstrap info, i try to recover the client index of the server with nsrck -L 7 ... . The server mounts the tape and starts reading something, but immediately says:

NSR server `backup0': busy
recover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying

The daemon.log says:

nsrd: backup0:index:backup0 (7/23/06) done reading

Is this the normal behaviour or ist there any bug / misconfiguration ? i'm running NW 7.2.1 build 314.

Thank in advance

thormax

Restart the server before you retry the operation.

Tried that before without any effect. Doing ( another ) nsrjb -H and nsrjb -I fixed the problem.

thanks

cool....the mmrecov may have restored your nsr config & media index, but it still didnt know what was in the jukebox...

better to do use -IE between the bootstrap and the client recoveries...ensures(forces) it checks everything.
