Recovering a remote machine without the DR option

Hi. We recently had to recover an Arcserve host machine and followed CA's instructions at

and after editing the registry to allow for active files the box came back up OK.

The readme points out that active files on remote machines are always skipped..'Note: Replacing active files is only possible on the local machine. Active files on remote machines are always skipped.'

If this is the case, how would you go about doing a remote Disaster Recovery?
