I am on Office 2010.
I have several hyperlinks in a document that reference other word documents in the current folder.
Autosave is configured to save to the default location i.e. C:\Users\@Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word
For some reason, Word is closing unexpectedly, restarts, and then shows the 'recover autosaved file' dialogue. On selecting the autosaved file to recover, all the links that previously pointed to the 'current folder' have been changed to point to the autosave file location i.e. C:\Users\@Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word
I guess it thinks the autosave location is the new current folder.
I am not sure if this is a bug in Office 2010 Word, but if this is how it is meant to behave, then it has created a lot of headaches.
What gets us into trouble is not what we don’t know, its what we know for sure that just ain’t so.
