Thanks in advanced. Is there a way I can recover my pst files after I reimage my pc? I am working with XP and outlook07. I thought I had them all backed up but turns out I was wrong. Is there a way I can get them back?

Define Re-image?
In the off chance that this re-imaging of yours did not overwrite the locations of the pst files, you may be able to recover them with a Data recovery application like GetDataBack.

Otherwise your only other choice is taking your HD to professional recovery specialist, if your mails are really really important.

I completed wiped and reloaded a xp image that we use. It just like starting from scratch. I don't think I like my options.

You'd be surprised what might be on that drive. As said, install the GetDataBack trial software ON ANOTHER PC and hook the hard drive in question up to that PC as a slave drive or via a USB to IDE/SATA adapter.

Do NOT install the software on the computer/hard drive in question. Do NOT use that computer any more until you have done the scan. Doing the aforementioned will potentially whack more data.

You will see if the data is recoverable in the trial version and then you can decide on purchasing.

Well, if your image doesn't have a pst file in hose locations you my be able to recover your mails.

Give GetDataBack a try and see what it can come up with. hopefully it may find your PST files there.

Would bet money that they did NOT. That would be too easy to recover from. It has to be a painful teeth-gnashing experience.
