Hello,

my environment: NetWorker 7.3.2 in W2k srv

I need to restore files from recyclable save set.
I try with scanner –i \\.\Tape1 and nsrmm -S ssid -e "date" -w "date"
But i get get this output:
nsrmm: Cannot change browse/retention time of recyclable save set ssid

I try again with scanner –i and scanner –m but after running scanner –m the server
Took to long and slowed to almost stop server

first doubt: on witch save set i must run the scanner command, on index:”client” save set or data save set?

I will be in the wrong direction? How can recover files from recyclable save set.

Set it to be not recyclable.

nsrmm -yo notrecyclable -S ${SSID}

The problem is that the recent NW versions do not allow the insertion of index data if the save set is already recyclable. Consequently you must change this status before you will be able to add scanned information.

However, you can still recover files from a recyclable save sets directly. Just run a save set recover and add the filenames or directories. Or run thi from the command line with ...
recover -S ssid -a [file(s)] [directories]

thanks.

When i run nsrmm -yo notrecyclable -S 3973751571
i receive this message:

Save set 3973751571 cannot be marked as notrecyclable.
Please specify the ssid/cloneid of the particular clone instance.

what is this? I

That's also new.

Use mminfo -q ... -r "ssid,cloneid" to receive it.

Then specify the nsrmm command in the same manner:
nsrmm -yo notrecyclable -S 3973751571/cloneid

Why do you use the Scanner command ?
If the medium is stil in the media database you can perform a saveset recover.
