I have a misc system with a Callpilot 100 or 150, not sure which and I'm not sure how to tell unless its written right on the unit but I haven't looked.

I want to record all incoming and outgoing calls. I don't want my staff to be reminded that all calls are recorded, we will add a line to our company policies along with email and Internet use. The same will be added to our ccr recording so callers will know. Legal stuff aside, I want this to train new staff as well as make sure existing staff are servicing the customers the way I want them to.

I have turned on call recording in my COS but that is for individual calls and its user activated, but also on a side note to this, how do you set it to silent? Right now it announces the call is being recorded and from what I have read there is an admin menu where you can change options.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You cannot silence the announcement.

The 4102 model is for Norstar.
It goes between the digital port and the phone (or wall jack and phone) and plugs via USP to the users PC.

You could install in the phone room then to another PC/Laptop but USB is limited on distance.

There is also the Enterprise method for the admin or call center manager called ECR Enterprise Call Recorder
This involves a special shelf installed in the phone room that holds a special auxbox for each user and holds up to 16 units and can handle a second shelf.
It also requires a standalone server connected to the network, the admin or manager then logs into it to manage the software and recordings.

Not what I was hoping to hear. So you need a 4102 per extension even if installed in the phone room?

Am I better to upgrade the phone system or Callpilot to get this feature and maybe more?

Thanks

Yes you need an Auxbox or Auxcard for each user to be recorded.
There is no upgrade and why this product is manufactured.

User controlled:
The Auxbox between jack and phone, USB to PC, software to users PC, access via PC
-If just required for one phone and no access permitted for that user you can intercept the wiring in the phone room and connect to another PC.
You could also connect to a server if in the same room and RDP in.

Admin controlled:
The Auxcard for each user go onto the 16 port/user shelf in the phone room, KSU to shelf and back to station cable, USB to server, software to server, access via network.
