I have just recently set up 4 individual extensions on voice recording.

These Extensions are in our Service Assurance team and have been put in place as lots of licensing details are discussed over the phone.

These users don't have Agent Logins and arent configured with ACD Position ID's

I would like to have all calls to their DDI numbers go through a recorded message which will inform the caller that calls may be recorded.

My Plan is to Change the DDI number so it points to Call Pilot, where it plays the message however it will then drop back to their Extension number.

I have no idea to be honest but this is the most logical way i can think of doing this. I am no expert hence why i have posted up on here asking for advice.

That sounds easy enough, point their DID to Call pilot. Set that DID up to hit a menu, on the recording you simply say "you call may be monitored or recorded for quality purposes, please press 1 to acknowledge, or press 2 to hang up". Then set up the menu choices, 1 to transfer to the persons new extension, and 2 would disconnect them.

You could eliminate the 2nd choice, but if you tell them to press 1 to acknowledge they won't realize its just a simple menu service and will transfer right away.

one way would be to change the ddi to a vacant number via idc.. (we use 7 digit non ddi dn's) build that dn as a maxp 1 acd ncfw to mail.. in app builder, build an announcememnt service, post recording transfers to the ext.. in cp add the vsdn, make the recording.. that works from an external call..

you can build one for each or send the calls to a hunt group.. i would send then to the same mcr, put that on each phone twice, then key 2 would be their ddi with lhk 2 cls hta..

call presents on all 4 stations, one station answers, next call still hits all 4 stations.. the lhk prevents busy when a second call clears mail prior to the last call getting answer supervision

Johnthephoneguy!

Thanks for the response, that was the idea i had, but when i try and edit their DDI's on IDC3 to point to 7000 (Call Pilot) it comes back with SCH6276:

Warning: External DN of IDC tree not stored in corresponding SDID tree to prevent overwriting existing value. This inconsistency occurs in the SDID tree when more than one external DN terminates on the same internal DN in the IDC tree.

Not 100% sure what it means but the next prompt is for FCSD and it requires a Yes/No answer.

if you convert a number to the cp sdn, you will not get a menu.. you will get the same msg that you hear when you dial 7000.. that is why you need to turn it into a vacant dn, send that to mail then, add a service dn with the new number..

i dial xxx1000, switch see's 1000, idc that to 2000, 2000 is a maxp1 ncfw t0 7000, mail see;s 2000, that's a service dn pointed to the announcement service.. play the msg, transfer to 1000

Thanks for your response, that sounds awesome, however i am not the experienced and i have got a little confused!!

maxp1?

and your suggesting that i idc their DDI's to a different Dn such as 2000 which is a non ringing cfw? which forwards to the call pilot server which then notices the 2000 which is a specific DN and puts it through to the anouncement? The anouncment plays and they have 2 options to disconnect on to continue, on continue it bounces through the Ext number?
