I want to select 2 different types of records in my report.

I have a table with accounts that are the main account and have a specific type of account. In the same table i have accounts that are sub accounts but have different type of account than the previous selection. I want to select both types.

For example:

Main acct: Jon Doe Investment Acct
child acct: Joe Doe IRA

I can easily capture one of them at at a time but not both at once.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm running CR 11.

Just use the OR operator:

{main account}="Jon Doe Investment Acct" or
{child acct}="Joe Doe IRA"
