Hi,

I have a database field of 'Customer', and need to establish how many times the customer appears in a report-total field.

Do I need to create a 'running total' field and base it on a 'distinct count'?

The report should show that a Customer has appeared x times and I need the Customers name to be displayed.

i.e.
A Smith = 4
D Jones = 2
P Smith = 5

There are no groupings in this report.

I don't want to hard-code 'A Smith' etc

I'm using Crystal 10.

Try Insert > Crosstab - that should do it using Crystal's pre-defined functions.
