New install. Latest 3300 and MAS software
4 sites in the same city with a 3300 at each location.
Centralized Nupoint on MAS to handle all voice mails.
Record-a-call feature only works for phones on the 3300 that is connected directly to the Nupoint/MAS. The other 3 sites it does not work.

Has anyone gotten this to work or is it a limitation of having a centralized Nupoint VM?

Havent tried

Does each site have a record call hunt group?

Created a recorder hunt group at a remote site but could not add the Nupoint RDNs to it.

It makes sense that a local grp is required on each system

It doesnt surprise me overly much that the members need to be local as well

The above being true, you are faced with 4 options

- accept that RAC is not available on remote systems
- partition dedicated vm ports on each system
- partition ports on each system but have central group includes all members for standard vm (this might not be viable but is worth attempting)
- call Mitel and find out how it can/cannot be done

You need to order this part for more than 1 x 3300 connection point:

NP. IP integration (max 4 connections)

As you can see the maximum is 4 ICPs

More $$$$$ for Mick and Terry!

Other option might be to have all the phones hosted on the 3300 where the Nupoint is and secondary to their local controller. Just a thought.

I tried that once but mitel stated that the phone had to be on the same subnet as the ports (IP subnet).

AlphaMann, don't think that is the case and if it is that sucks. Any large implementation would have phones on subnets other then just the one the ports are on. Pretty sure we have one install where we have phones on various subnets.
