I am trying to find a automated way (scritps, batches, etc) to change the AutoUpdate settings on my clients.

Right now all of my clients are using Mcafee 4.5 and are pulling there updztes from our in house server. (Well they should be), I would like to be able to standarize them. Everything I tried so far dosent' work.

Any ideas?

Why dont you try EPO??

Version 4.x doesn't come with EPO. Right now our corporate budget is too tight to purchase the EPO.

I was able to come up with a solution. I created a batch to schedule a scheduled job on each PC that will stop the McAfee services, modify the registery and restart the services.

See if you can get the McAfee AutoUpdate Architect (MAA). This allows you to configure the updating on the workstations centrally. However, this is being replaced by an "ePO Lite" version called McAfee Protection Pilot (MPP). Product is currently in beta so if you want to try it out, check out NAI's site here:
