recommended ethernet device for temperature notification

I would like to get some sort of the temp notification device to notify me if the server room temp goes up, thoughts?

My APC UPS's have come with a IP management card that has a temp sensor plugin. I know APC has sensor based solutions but don't know too much about them. Look at:

They have various sensors and a management units to fit the bill.

I am trying to have the IP management card to notify me when the temp goes up and if it goes up so bad, I can also shut down the server also, it seems like the software doesn't let you do it, you can only configure it for one feature. Thoughts?

Does the management card have a temp sensor? What brand do you have?
