Recommendations for Panasonic software - text to LCD screen

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and hopefully someone can assist with a recommendation.

I have a project where the client wants to be able to send messages to the LCD screens of handsets registered to their NCP500. It has to be standalone and not a carrier messaging system. They literally want it to work like a paging system to their desk and Dect handsets. To make it more complex that want to automate the process so that for example if a sensor triggers it send a message to all phones with certain text. I know there is a programming interface but looking for something off the shelf rather than try to develop.

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Use communications assistant server is built right into ncp you can do screen pops and much more while some one is on the phone I believe it is impossible to send texts to DT or NT phone users display ....

Thanks for your quick response cwc3 but unfortunately the handsets and Dect will not be near a PC so that rule sout CA.

I've been doing some more research and I think it is possible to send messages to the LCD screens of the handsets.

Panasonic released a development SDK to allow interaction with the NCP 500/1000 through the TAPI interface. If you download the C_SDK_LIbrary_API reference manual it has the full list of what can and can't be sent to the handsets.

Along with a 3rd party TAPI server form say Randersoft I think this is able to be done and some companies have already produced more comprehensive solutions for the medical industry. I was hoping someone had produced a more cut down version for basic text paging.

Will do. It is looking quite likely I'll get this developed. The client wants it and it looks like it could be of some value. We shall see.
