Recommendation please Router/Switch

I've got a client that is moving into a new office. I'm looking to purchase and install a router and probably a 24 port switch. I'm looking for a router that can handle firewall duties as well as dhcp and vpn. I'm leaning towards the cisco 831. I will also need a 24 port (possibly 48 port) switch. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice (cost is obviously a factor). The office currently utilizes a fractional T1. There are no services (ftp, http, etc.) being hosted internally. PIX 501 firewall with a couple of 2900 series switches. Cheap, but effective (for Cisco that is).
