Hello,

I have any new user that is created now cannot receive email from the outside and the outside email is getting the bounce back of Recipient address rejected: No such user but inside email is fine.

Any ideas?? Everyone else is workign fine.

Thanks

Is your incoming mail scanned by a spam filter? I filter mine, and that program first checks that the address is legitimate by checking it against a copy of the valid addresses for my domain. That list is updated daily, so for the first 24 hours or so mail will bounce.

Paste in the copy of the NDR text. That may help as well.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah the user shows up in GAL. I thought it was an AD problem but ruled that out. I do have mail going through the spamfilter but all users that were already created work fine, and anyone that I create now is failing. It is driving me crazy. Not sure where to even look since it is only new users. what would stop this??

Here is what comes through

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 13): 550 <Edited out>: Recipient address rejected: No such user (Editied out)

You'll have to check the help for the spamfilter to see if it checks recipients against a validity list and if so how it knows about new users.

Probably some sort of LDAP lookup, perhaps the service account it is using for doing that has locked out or password has expired or something.
