In Word, you can go into Tools/Customize and check the option that says "Menus show recently used commands first".
The problem is, it seems that it takes a long time for the Mail Merge command that I use constantly to find it's way to the very top of the Menu list. Then, if someone uses my computer and selects another menu command like Word Count, which happened the other day, Mail Merge moves down the list and once again, it seems to take multiple selections of Mail Merge on my part to get it to migrate all the way back to the top of the Menu list.
What I'd like to know is this, is there a way to edit some sort of Windows .ini file or something like that that would permanently leave Mail Merge at the top of the Menu or is there a way to edit a file and put Mail Merge back at the top each time it gets knocked out of the top position?
I hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help.
