Receiving Runtime error! during installation of SMS 2.0 on 2K Server

I'm receiving Runtime error!
Program C:\WINNT\System32\mmc.exe
abnormal program termination

whenever I try to access Admin Console. I installed on Win2K server and I'm running SQL 7.0. I've done the steps on MS site Q254083 unfortunately I couldn't delete WBEM folder because its in use. I'm lost and have to learn SMS 2.0. Please help!

You can delete the WBEM-folder after stopping the "Windows Management Instrumenation"-Service (WMI).

Thanks for the info Chris, but I already tried that. I stopped the WMI service, shut down SQL. I did everything in the Q article with deleting the service with the resource kit. I'm stomped I will continue to work on it but if come up with anything else let me know. Thanks

Maybe a re-installation of the Win2000 ServicePack fixes this....

Once I installed SP2 it resolved the problem.
