Receiving returned mail notifications. Help.

How can I stop spammers from using my SMTP server to send out their crap?

Today when I came into work I saw a crapload of returned mail notifications containing lists of email addresses which I know I never sent mail to. I am assuming some spammer get into my Sendmail server and sent away.

Running Sendmail 8.9.3

Ugrade to the latest version of Sendmail 8.12.x which blocks relaying by default. (Any version after 8.9.x does this)If you can not upgrade for some reason take a look at
