Receive email for new domain into current server 1

Hi

We are going to be receiving emails into our server directly for a domain that is currently being managed by an agency. {tektipscareers.com for example}. The resulting incoming emails will need to be delivered into a new shared mailbox that specific people will need access to.

So, I have this as a process so far:

Modify MX records to point at our server
Create a rDNS record at the ISP
Create an Authorative Accepted Domain for tektipscareers.com ref

Is there anything that I have missed?

No, that should do it, assuming that configuring the shared mailbox includes adding an email address from that particular domain.

There is no requirement create an email address policy for each accepted domain as long as you manually configure the addresses on relevant mailboxes.

If you are going to send mail out from that shared mailbox, in addition to the RDNS record, you should check and see if there is an existing SPF record for that domain, and add your server's sending IP or name to it if needed.
