Hello.

I have a TN that has caused me some trouble. It first started when I saw a ERR080 and noticed that the keys pressed where key 3 and 4 (several times).

I printed the TN (64 1 8 9) and only key 0 was programmed.

I tried to reprogram the keys without any luck. So I programmed the phone on a new TN and moved it, but when I try to delete the TN, the system reboots.

Any ideas?

post the tn. if it's not acquired it's corrupt..

One other thing to try is disable the TN you are getting the ERR codes on. Then try deleting it.

The TN's disabled.

If you have a vendor that maintains your system (or even ETAS), they can "uncorrupt" the TN most times by debugging it.

Yes, I have a vendor, but that's boring. I want to learn about the system. How do I debug something like that? Do you think it's the card?

Can you "STAT" the TN 064 1 08 09 in LD 32?. Does it show "IDLE" "BUSY" "DSBL" or any other state?.
The TN can be remove via "pdt". This section is only meant to be accessed by people who know what they are doing.

The best way to get rid of any form of corruption is to reload the PABX. When you say the PABX reboots I am assuming an INI is occuring rather than a reload? Can you actually out TN 064 1 08 09 ? If not what error do you get back? I have also had Nortel go into pdt and attempt to resolve corrupt TN's but the corruption came back again after a few months - a reload of the system fixed it for good.

Yes an INI is occuring. When I out it, I don't get any error messages as I can see. When using OTM it just loses the connection. I'm going to check using procomm now...

To debug you gotta go to a class or really know what you're doing, if you're having this much trbl with that TN, just ignore it and don't ever use it. Use a new TN. Hopefully it's not an Exec's phone or anything.

Can't hurt.

And for CPND or DES, type in BADTN so you remember not to use it.
