Rebooting a Novell Server

My boss usually handles the Novell server but he is out. The tape is in the backup drive but it is not seeing it. How do I get the tape out? Does it require a reboot?

It depends on the type of tape drive and software you have running. don't reboot. in most cases Just eject the tape and the software will recognize that the media has been ejected or new media has been loaded.

Thanks for the reply. It turned out that the server was not recognizing that there was media in the drive there for it would neither eject nor backup. I tried stopping the Arcserve and restarting it, but that didn't work. Ended up having to reboot the server.
