Reassembling Streams with Sniffer PDK

I am using the Sniffer PDK (ver 4.5) to develop custom protocol interpreters for applications that reside on top of the UDP/TCP transport layers. Some TCP-based apps don't decode properly because the PDK function calls to enable stream reassembly (RegRegister1, SarAddDU) don't work during PRESCAN as advertised in the PDK documentation.

Are there any known workarounds?

Thanks,
Vic

This issue may have been resolved in PDK 4.7 - ask your Sniffer contact if this is the case.

cpete responded to thread 23-330011 (Problem with the PDK), which sounds like the same problem, with the following:

[ul]It seems likely that there is a bug in the baseline product that affects the PDK and prescan. This problem would be present in 4.5 and 4.7. I'll let you know about the possibility of a patch as soon as I know.[/ul]
P.S. My sniffer contact knows very little about PDK.
