Hello Everyone!

When I open up Windows Explorer and on the right hand pane I have the folders that are under the c drive. This is all well and fine, except that when I double click on a folder on from the right pane that the search window appears, and not a new Windows Explorer windows with it's contents as expected. I noticed that when you left mouse click that search is the first option on the menu, not open as would be expected and is the case for every other computer I've ever seen.

Does anyone know how to correct this menu problem? So that instead of the search option been first on the left click menu that the open option be the first?

So just to make myself clear here is how is would look when I left click

search
open
explore
etc
etc

I need this to be
open
explore
search
etc
etc

Many Thanks

Sorry I mean right click instead of left click above.

It's a very common registry problem. It happened to me when i double clicked a folder in the search results. it changes the registrey setting. so you have to change it back. this article should help you sort it out.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Double clicking a folder on desktop brings up search, does not open

Just doing
regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

Did the trick.

Many Thanks
