I'm using Adobe Premiere 6.5 and I'm capturing video via a firewire from my digital video camera. When I take the file that is captured and put it on the timeline and hit enter, the monitor holds on one frame and the audio plays through the clip...but the video stays in one spot. Even with transitions the real time preview once it gets to this clip only has audio and video holds on one frame. I notice that under the yellow bar at the top of the timeline there is no red bar, which I think means rendering is required. I thought with real time preview this would not be required.
I've been having this problem for some time now. The work around I've used is capturing the video as an .avi file with Scenalyzer and importing into Adobe Premiere. When I take this file and put it on the timeline, I can see a red bar under (and rendering is not required) the yellow bar and it plays the video and audio when I hit enter.
I'm not sure if I'm capturing or if my settings are appropriate. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Can anyone help figure this out?
Thanks.
