I store emails as attachements to my ACT contacts. When i try to open such an email from inside the contact, it does not open the ACT word processor. The file is *.wmi and I associated it with ACT, but still no luck.

I am using Outlook 2007 in Vista environment. Glutton for punishment.

Outlook 2007 is not supported and is likely to have issues like this.

Vista is supported with 9.0.1 (non-Workgroups), but independant analysts have shown that less than 50% of currently in-use business software will run on Vista... so it's not really advised.

I'm not sure what's creating the WMI file extension

I suspect the *.wmi is created with the internal ACT word processor. Somehow the dll associated with this processor is not registered in the registry, and so when i click on that type of extension nothing happens. When I try and associate it with ACT as a whole, same thing -- no response.

I do not know how to do that. What is the program I need to link?

Maybe C:\Program Files\ACT\Act for Windows\ActEmail.exe

I have no WMI files on my system, so I don't know what would create them.
