Reading GET variables

Hello! I am making a sound player for my website, and I need the the player to read a GET variable to find the sound to play. I can't find ANY good resources for this. Could I please have some help?

What is "GET variable"? If it's a search string of a URL, then you can use Javascript to obtain the variable and write FlashVars dynamically.

It's this: foo.swf?bar=something

Flash creates a variable in _root from query string. In this case you will have a variable "bar" which value is "something" in the main timeline.
