I want to read in text from an attachment. How is this done?
Thanks in advance!

I am using Outlook 2000 and visual basic 6. I want to run a script that reads in attachment text.

I read that there are problems with the AttachmentRead(attachment) function in Outlook 2000. Is this true? Is this the right function needed to acomplish this??

Right is a relative term. Whatever works for your situation seems 'RIGHT' from your perspective, but may appear differently to others. I seldom use the function, but then I seldom use VB(A) to read e-mail so that may also be 'relevant'.

Generically, I urge users to agressively use the search function(s) / capabilities of these (Tek-Tips) fora. Many isues are discussed throuighout the fora and they generally iincclude most of the reasonable soloutions to common place issues faced by the practicioners of the skill sets of the respective fora. Thus, the other recommendation is to seek the answer in a forum which deals primarily with the specifics of Outlook.
