Read Receipt

Hi,

I have exchane 2k/outlook 2k. How do I configure the software to recieve a read receipt from internet mail. The LAN side works fine. As a test when I send to yahoo.com I don't get a read receipt. Thanks.

For security purposes some Net Admin configure their Firewall and/or Mail Server to simply NOT send auto confirmation messages of this kind.

Read receipts are products of the client software, not of the actual email itself. If a clients software doesn't recognize the read receipt request, it will ignore it.

I don't believe the webmail services (Yahoo, Hotmail) acknowledge read receipt requests.
