I created a CD on my laptop. I tried using is it on my PC and does not allow me to make changes/save as. I put the cd back into my laptop to remove the "read only" but it does not allow me to.

Any ideas?

David

That's the ways CD's function. Once they are created, and the writing session on them is closed they become Read only

If you want to keep writing things onto a Cd it needs to be a CD-RW which stands for Re-writeable.

Your software should pick up on the type of disc and allow you to keep writing to it.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

The cd is a CD-RW CD. But still shows read-only.

Again if you closed the session, you can't add anymore files to it, you need to erase it and re-write it, but you need to leave the session open if you want to add more files at a later time.

Your burning software should have an option of this at the time of recording it.
